Who am I?

Being part of a big family is blessing. But not always. I was born 3rd into a family of seven, which I wouldn't choose If I had the chance to. It's not that I hate my family but the way we lived has left a dark spot on my young life experience. I used to wear one type of close for years and years, never have shoes at age 8. I always dreamed to have enough food in my stomach. I shared drinking water with the animals that I looked after. regardless how hard living in that situation life was precious. I was blessed to have a mom her odor gives hope. A strong faithful. Everything that has a beginning has an end. As a fact of nature this life has come to an end to. This poem is part of that transition.

  Who am I?
Dreaming during the silent nights
Wonder my mind on the bright day’s lot thoughts
Endless questions never been answered
What could be my response, to my own request?
Who am I? How do I am existed?
Once I had a family somewhere else
I had a biological father
Allowed me to be called in his name
Like everyone, I played with my sisters and brothers
The smallest bread parted and shared
The love fed one another forsaken food
We grew up healthy integrated to the ill world
Even those hard times like an argument
It has dim flashback in my heart never lost
Once upon a time I was part of a family
Lived to short left with a story
Living departed in life memory.
The country origin holiday’s celebration
Absolute cultural foundation
The strong neighborhood participation
Unique community once sacrificed for his religion
Then what happened?
When does this life end?
How did I become alone in my own land?
Maybe I had dreamed,
I am not sure if I had lived.
Maybe I had dreamed
I am not sure if I had lived.

Amharic poetry

Just to introduce myself as a multilingual person, I'm posting this Amharic poem. I don't really write a lot in Amharic but I have quiet few that proves my Amharic skill. I wrote this poem to a gorgeous brilliant beautiful women that I only met her one time in my life, one night. I can remember her face but never knew her name. A lot to learn from her even though she didn't spoke a word.  She has disappeared by the power of light in the morning and never come back. Please help me to find.

Hate is a killer!

I have a habit of self-evaluate in many directions each year. A year ago I asked myself if I clearly understood the difference between hate and love. Not only on this specific topic, but at all topics it is always hard to self-evaluate. Difficult to fall on the truth when we found ourselves failed. I want to use this opportunity to ask you politely with HUGE respect to do self-evaluation on this topic.
Ask yourself, I know you love most but why do you hate, even the smallest-percent possible? Where did it come from? what's your gain? You don't have to share just for self assessment. I believe recognizing self-weakness is a half way to change. I know I have changed a lot since I held a meeting me and myself about this a while ago.
you have something to share I will never get busy to read.

 Hate is a killer!
I love, but I hate more
I was smart enough to understand love
What does it look like to give care
In a community sharing one another
To give love and receive more;
But it didn’t last long.
Everything went wrong
Hate has come into power
Followed with abuse and murder!
Drought and suffer everywhere.
The worst is, I don’t see better,
We should go back to the beginning
In the near future,
To find the secret of peace
Respect and Love one another.

Endless Discovery

I never scared new adventures. I believe the world was given to me. So far I traveled few places. I saw the world from the shore to the other end. It was an opportunity to learn a lot. Moreover an opportunity to know that I don't know nothing.
George Bernard Show once said that "Forgive him, for he believes that the customs of  his tribes are the laws of nature"
I wish we all are open to each other to learn from one another. To benefit from our differences. Tell me your ideas at the end. But mine is wide open. I will travel the world as much as possible. To see the beauty every corner holds.

Endless Discovery
After a long journey over the oceans
reached hollow space far somewhere else
wild-life untamed places
open wide forest and dense.
Pure and bright rivers over the hills
            tall mountains and dales
            covered white-snow during nights
in the morning, it slowly melt
            left tears beneath the rocks.
I discovered panoramic vistas of the open range
I lived for moment then moved,
when the season changes
I went to another world
wherever the spirit arranges.

To be or not to be

Moving from one place to another is scaring. More scarier when moving empty hand. To different place, different people, culture, and language that I knew before. Loneliness was the only friend that I knew for a long period of time. This is the result of loneliness. Loneliness, I will never forgot you. You was faithful  friend when I was lonely.

To Be or Not to Be
Whether I was born to enjoy life or to suffer
By the human-made or natural disaster
The slings and arrows of outrageous poverty
The fear and ignorance of undiscovered future
What is to come? How would I prepare?
I have all these technological devices of 21st century
I thought it may help me to socialize
On the social media to make friends
Instead they are windows to unworthy world
The hate and killings all over the places
Devastating our community, the mortal’s proud
Loneliness and isolation developed
Drought and disease poured
Walkig empty stomach during the day
Forgot everything fall asleep perchance
Suddenly woke-up for the scaring dreams
That I lived in calamity for too long
Reminded my mind where I belong
Rest is yet far to-come in my world at this time
Rather I die and disappear of these problem.

Why have you left?

One of the SAD moments of quarter a century living on this planet. Few months I was forced to believe that a young friend has gone from the earth. Nature is powerful. I bowed onto nature. I cried. I grieved. I questioned, no answer. Then I said Perhaps he might be at a better place. Perhaps he has finished his mission. Perhaps he has escaped from a worst future. I know you don't have an answer to any of this questions none does. But I just want to write in words my weeping. The only thing I can do, translating shading tears into words. As f-o-l-l-o-w-s...

Why have you left?
Did you just come to say hi?
Or to visit while passing by
You stayed too-long
We saw your pain and suffered along
Too short the joy we had together
Sad experience to remember.
Why have you left?
I wish you stay a little longer
A million times I loved you
Unfortunate, how I lost you
Now every morning I cried
If love alone could’ve saved you
You never would’ve died
Why have you gone?
Far of our reaches
Beyond the heavy clouds
We asked the sun, during the day
Stars at night, but they have remained silent
Just like your last days
Perhaps we don’t understand their words.
I haven’t gone, I’m invisible
Please don’t cry be an example
Don’t think of me as gone away
My journey has just begun
Life holds so-many facts…
Earth was only one
I wanted to let you know
That I’m resting
In a place where there’s no sorrow and pain
Darkness never exist here, evil has no gain.
So… please don’t cry
Friends… please don’t cry
But (you didn’t say good bye) (3)

Terrorists were kids.

Once in my life I have heard a story. A story that helped me to realize that there's always another way. It happened many years ago.I don't know how many. There was a wealthy healthy respected man living in the forests of Africa. One day he was invited to have lunch with the kings family. As he was a respected man he went to the lunch ceremony with his ten wives many children and friends. Right after the warmth welcoming from the kings house, the servants started washing the guests leg which is a sign of respect and honor for coming. But there was something that bothered and ashamed this man, His legs was smelling bad. after lunch he harried to get  home, Eventually he did. He called one of his servants and order him to cut off his legs. After that day he never had a bad odor. But life got even worst, he never walked around his territory again. His problem was man made. If he could avoid wearing shoes he could avoid cutting off his legs. I believe, strongly believe that there's no one born violent. Environment shapes someones future, religion and culture are the main factors. After I carefully observed life I decided that if every one has to be born a tiny dime child, how can later be a cruel terrorist murderer? believe or not our daily action, motivation, and life style has made him to be who he is. After reading the next poem you will understand how you could behave better. The good news is, it's not late. Enjoy...

Terrorists were kids
People aren’t naturally violent
The bad things that are happen
 The result of movement
The law of attraction
Creating friction.
Politics is pointless
If it does fail to enhance the beauty of our lives
Religion is indeed powerful in words
Love your neighbor as much as yourlsef
The beginning words are became ideals.
People aren’t naturally violent
Parrots and jihadists were kids
Lived among families and communities
They were kids playing soccer
On the streets of Mogadishu
Suddenly their homes’ burned
Their fathers’ murdered
Their mothers’ raped
Their hope vanished
Their future just cursed.
They found fallen firearms
Pointing toward the community
That is what they have learned.
People aren’t naturally violent
But they have thought
Sabah al-khair?
Al-hamdililah is caring
We are alive again this morning
Opening words when the kids gathering
On the streets of Baghdad
Having conversation about politics
But politics is pointless
If it does fail to enhance the beauty of their kindness
Switched topic into religion
Islamic is fear anymore
Christianity superior
Buddhism is meditation
Mormon new born
Salvation has lost in religion.
It was in the afternoon
The sun was running down
wearing dark/yelowish gown
Bombs, shootings, airstrikes
Broke the silence of peace
Escaping death is the matter of grace
But grace itself is grieving
It is the end of everything.
